I started cross~stitching in the mid 80’s and fell in love even without the lovely hand dyed linen and threads that are now available. After high school I started a joint venture with my Mom. I started cross~stitching in the mid 80’s and fell in love even without the lovely hand dyed linen and threads that are now available. After high school I started a joint venture with my Mom. We scoured the East Coast for antiques, got up at the crack of dawn to go antiquing in Ohio and traveled to Pennsylvania to find the best craftsmen and their wares at trade shows.
We filled an old house in my hometown with all of our favorite things and had the most fun hosting Open Houses and Garden Parties in the warm months.
During the years we had our shop I didn’t have much time for my beloved stitching. But I enjoyed finding Samplers and bits of antique fabrics and stitched pieces.
My love of early Samplers grew and I am most grateful to be working at what I love the most, design and hand stitching with a little antiquing thrown in.
